Mostly we hear about newspapers folding, so it’ good news to find out that a new weekly one is launching. Even better news that it’s about one of my favourite subjects – hockey.
The Hockey Paper is part of the Greenways Publishing stable which also produces weekly sports papers for cricket, football league and rugby.
It’s not in every news agent yet, but when I bought a copy in Norwich the newsagent said he was pleasantly surprised to be selling copies. It’s a sport that has been under represented in the media. It’s also a sport that a growing number of people are passionate about so I wasn’t surprised that it seems to be going well.
